The Trip in Short

This is the unhurried version of Tanzania’s classic pairing, stretched to fourteen days so that nothing feels rushed. Five nights split between two Serengeti camps in different sectors, three on the Ngorongoro rim, then a flight to Zanzibar’s north-east coast for five nights facing Mnemba Atoll, whose reef is generally reckoned among the best diving and snorkelling in East Africa.

Private vehicles throughout the safari section and a private beach outing to Mnemba itself keep the whole trip built around two people rather than a shared group schedule.

Park fees and rules on the Tanzanian mainland are set by Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA).

Highlights

  • Two different Serengeti camps for varied sectors and scenery
  • Private 4x4 vehicle and guide throughout the safari
  • Ngorongoro Crater floor descent from a rim-top lodge
  • Five nights on Zanzibar's north-east coast facing Mnemba Atoll
  • Some of East Africa's best-regarded snorkelling and diving at Mnemba's reef
  • Deliberately slow pacing with no more than one transfer day at a time

Before You Book

Why two different Serengeti camps rather than one?

Different sectors of the park show genuinely different landscapes and wildlife patterns; moving once midway keeps the safari from feeling repetitive across five days.

Is Mnemba Atoll accessible without diving experience?

Yes: snorkelling the reef requires no certification, though certified divers have the option of guided dives on the atoll's outer wall.

How private is this trip, exactly?

Vehicles, guides and the Mnemba boat excursion are all private to your party throughout: you will not be combined with other travellers at any point.

Is fourteen days too long for a honeymoon?

Not for a trip this unhurried: the pacing is deliberately slower than our standard itineraries, with genuine rest built into most transfer days.
