An open-sided safari vehicle kicks up dust as it travels along a dirt track through golden East African savanna.

{ Why Us }

Why Choose Us

Local planners, tailor-made routes and honest pricing, from a team based in Kampala.

There are a lot of ways to book a safari. Here is what changes when you plan one with us.

Local Planners in Kampala

We are based in East Africa, not answering enquiries from another continent on a time delay. That means we know which roads are currently rough after rain, which lodges have changed management, and which routes actually work in the time you have. When we suggest cutting a day from one park to add it to another, it is because we have driven that road recently, not because a spreadsheet said so.

Tailor-Made, Not Packaged

Every itinerary on the site is a starting draft. We adjust pace, route, accommodation level and budget until it fits the people travelling, rather than fitting you into a fixed departure with a group you did not choose. A family with young children gets a different pace to a couple on a two-week honeymoon, even if both start from the same template.

Permits Secured Early

Gorilla and chimp permits are limited and non-refundable once bought, and popular dates sell out months ahead. Once you commit to a trip, we move on permits and key bookings quickly rather than leaving them until the last moment, and we tell you clearly when a date is at risk so you can decide how to proceed.

Private Vehicle and Driver-Guide

You travel in a private 4×4 with a pop-up roof and an English-speaking driver-guide, not a shared minibus running to someone else’s schedule. The vehicle and guide are with you for the whole trip, which means the pace of a game drive is set by what you want to look at, not by a group vote.

Honest, Itemised Prices

Quotes state what is included and what is not, in plain terms. If something is excluded, drinks, tips, international flights, we say so upfront rather than let you find it on arrival. We would rather explain why a well-run trip costs what it costs than win a booking on a number that turns out to be incomplete.

Support While You Travel

Your planner does not disappear once you have paid. If a flight changes, a lodge needs a message, or plans shift mid-trip, you have a contact who already knows your itinerary and can act on it without you having to explain the whole trip again from scratch.

Six Countries, One Plan

Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zanzibar and Ethiopia can be combined into a single trip with one planner coordinating the border crossings, flights and permits between them, rather than you booking each country separately with different operators who have never spoken to each other.

What This Looks Like in Practice

None of the above is a slogan; it is a set of small, repeated decisions. It is a planner reading your first email twice before replying, so the draft itinerary actually reflects what you asked for. It is telling you a route is too ambitious for the days you have, even when a longer, pricier version would suit us better. It is checking a lodge is still operating at the standard we remember before we put it on your itinerary, not just copying last year’s description.

Taken individually, none of these is dramatic. Over the course of planning and running a two or three-week trip across several countries, they are most of what separates a trip that goes smoothly from one that does not.
