This one keeps the wildlife to a minimum on purpose. It’s built around people and place: Kigali’s memorial and markets, then north to Musanze for the volcanic lava tube caves, a Gorilla Guardians cultural village founded by former poachers, and traditional intore dance performances.
There’s a short gorilla-adjacent element – you’ll be in gorilla country without necessarily trekking – but the emphasis throughout is on Rwandan daily life: coffee cooperatives, basket weavers, and conversations that don’t happen on a standard wildlife itinerary.
Park fees and gorilla permits in Rwanda are set by the Rwanda Development Board.
